A central Manchester hotel required a flexible sound system for a multi-purpose hall used for conferences, wedding receptions, product launches, banquets and evening entertainment. Movable partitions allowed the hall to operate as one large room or several smaller spaces, so stage positions, seating plans and acoustic conditions changed frequently. The system was arranged in independently controlled zones with flexible signal routing and dedicated presets for speech, presentations, dining events and music-led functions. Particular attention was given to speech intelligibility, even coverage and reliable microphone operation, whilst low-frequency performance was adjusted to provide suitable weight for entertainment without overpowering formal events. Careful positioning, delay alignment and equalisation reduced the effects of reflective ceilings and decorative wall surfaces. The completed installation now enables hotel staff to change event formats quickly whilst maintaining clear speech, balanced music and consistent performance throughout the hall.
